About Cultivating Calm Counseling
Therapy in Chicago
I believe my role as a therapist is never to “fix” the client, but empower you to uncover a more enriched, fulfilled life. I have learned through years of professional training and a lifetime of personal experience, listening with sincere empathy, remaining without judgment, and guidance to a better understanding of self in a safe and honest place shapes the foundation for positive change.
Individualized treatment goals are developed in collaboration with clients, based on what you would like to achieve in therapy. I understand at times it can be tricky to know what we would like to achieve or what therapy entails, just that something needs to change. In building rapport and a therapeutic relationship those goals will become clearer. I strongly believe the client is the utmost expert of themselves, and I’m honored to walk alongside individuals on their journey; combining our expertise to shape lasting change and alleviate pain and/or suffering.
Through therapeutic work and life experiences of my own, I’ve discovered a genuine sense of having a space to be heard, seen, and understood while gaining insight has an immeasurable impact on well-being. I enjoy continually learning about the human condition professionally and personally while passionately applying it to my approach in order to achieve the best outcome for you.
Becoming a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor is more than a career choice for me, it provides greater meaning, and despite the sometimes-challenging nature of the work, I look forward to any time spent with clients.
